mask work
In ancient Greek ‘persona’ was the name for mask. ‘Persona’ translates literally as ‘through sound’. The word referred to the brass speaking tube through which the voice of the mask was projected into the great Greek and Roman amphitheatres.
The connection with the ‘mask’ and our personality or identity is a key theme that we explore in our mask workshops. Mask work can be useful on many levels and we have used them in a wide context of personal and professional development as well as for the theatre.
