Allergies and phobiasNLP allergy techniquePractitioners of Neuro-Linguistic Programming recognise that the mind and body are not separate entities but work together in one system. The NLP Allergy researchers initially had significant results with phobias. They realised that an allergy has a similar ‘structure’ to a phobia but in this case it is a ‘phobia of the immune system.’ In conjunction with research using biofeedback the NLP ‘Allergy Cure’ was developed by Robert Dilts, Tim Hallbom and Suzi Smith. Who would this work be suitable for?Anyone suffering from allergies. All allergy technique work is carried out in conjunction with appropriate medical treatment. What Happens?Initial free consultation to check suitability. Usually followed by three two-hour sessions quite closely timed and then a one-hour follow up six weeks later. When the NLP Allergy work is complete, the person usually has no significant symptoms to report relating to their allergy. It seems as if the allergy ‘floats away’ or disappears and clients sometimes a report a difficulty in remembering exactly how those symptoms used to be.‘As an adult, I learned to avoid houses with cats. Within minutes, I would first experience irritation in the eyes and then a powerfully debilitating barrage of the sneezes. Sometimes, particularly as I came into my fifties, the event toppled over into an asthma attack. Once, when staying in a house with Persian cats, I even had to rush to hospital because I could not breathe. The same reactions frequently occurred with dust from feather pillows and house mites and of course the pollens in the early summer. I suffered allergies in the fullest sense of the word. Not any more - it took a couple of sessions with Alice. Since then, for one whole year, I haven’t had a symptom.’ Rashid Maxwell NB This work is not an alternative to medical treatment. It is complementary.Contact us if you are interested. |
